Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our Workers Compensation Defense team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters, providing legal counsel, and representing clients in pre-litigation/litigation. This role is crucial for ensuring that our clients receive the best defense possible in workers' compensation claims.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents related to workers' compensation cases.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and negotiations.
Negotiate contracts and settlements with opposing parties.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide effective legal counsel.
Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines effectively.
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to workers' compensation.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage contracts effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Defense work experience preferred

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in the state of CA.
2+yrs workers' compensation experience
