Central Utility Controls Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Central Utility Controls Engineer to oversee and optimize the control systems for our central utility plants. This role will focus on ensuring efficient operation and integration of various utility systems, including boilers, chillers, and water polishing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in control systems engineering and will be responsible for enhancing system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain control systems for central utility operations including boilers, chillers, and water polishing equipment.
Develop and optimize control strategies using PLCs and DCSs to ensure efficient operation of utility systems.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to validate system performance and compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HMI systems and ensure seamless operation of utility controls.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on control systems to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Utilize communication protocols such as Modbus and EthernetIP for effective data exchange between control systems and devices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience with PLC and DCS programming and configuration.
Strong knowledge of HMI engineering and design.
Experience in FAT and SAT processes.
Familiarity with boiler combustion systems and chilling technologies.
Knowledge of water polishing systems and related control strategies.
Proficiency in communication protocols including Rockwell, Modbus, and EthernetIP.
