Yes, that's a big salary range but these guidelines should help:

To target 130k, you must have 5+ years experience at one company and experience bidding highways, sewer systems, utilities, airports, and flood mitigation.
To target 200k, you need to have the years of experience (most likely 10+) and project experience to back that up (design build projects, bridge experience, projects $20-30M+)

Key Responsibilities

Analyze construction drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quantity takeoffs.
Conduct detailed cost analysis for materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals for construction projects.

Required Qualifications

5+ years civil estimating experience
Experience with highways, bridges, sewer systems, utilities, airports, flood mitigation, or other civil projects

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Excavation, helical piles, demolition, or sheeting experience a plus
Procore, HeavyBid, or similar
