Defense Attorney

Position Overview
The Defense Attorney will represent clients in legal proceedings, providing expert legal counsel and advocacy in various areas. We have several separate openings including general liability, employment law, toxic torts, and insurance bad faith claims. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills and a comprehensive understanding of the defense landscape to effectively protect client interests and achieve favorable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in court proceedings and legal negotiations
Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal issues
Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs
Develop case strategies and prepare for trial
Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of case progress
Collaborate with other legal professionals and experts as needed
Stay updated on relevant laws and legal developments

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Barred in CA
3+ years of litigation defense
Proven experience in litigation defense and trial preparation
Strong knowledge of either general liability, employment law, toxic torts, or insurance bad faith
Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
