We are seeking an INDUSTRIAL/Manufacturing setting experience EH&S Manager for a firm in the Albuquerque area, to take on a KEY role that is responsible for leading and managing the environmental, health, and safety programs within our organization, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment and training employees on best safe manufacturing practices, and working to minimize environmental impact through effective internal management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead training programs for employees on safety practices, regulations, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
  • Provide guidance on OSHA compliance, including maintaining appropriate records and documentation.
  • Manage environmental compliance procedures, including air quality and hazardous waste management, in accordance with Title 5 and other relevant regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EH&S management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards, including OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
  • Experience with environmental compliance regulations, specifically related to air quality and hazardous materials management.
  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • Familiarity with aerospace, DoD, and ITAR regulations is a plus.
