Environment & Energy Associate Attorney
Position Overview
We are an AM Law 200 firm, seeking an experienced Environmental & Energy Associate Attorney with 3 plus years of experience to join our team. We are growing fast and the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to clients in the areas of environmental law and energy law. Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on environmental and energy law.
- Assist clients with regulatory compliance, renewable project development, and environmental risk management.
- Represent clients in environmental litigation and remedial project management.
- Conduct due diligence and assist with project acquisition and financing.
- Assist with renewable energy project siting and provide legal support for project development.
- Undertake legal research and writing tasks as required.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders, providing excellent service and support at all times.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state of New York
- 3 plus years of experience practicing environmental law, with a focus on energy law.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance, renewable project development, and environmental risk management.
- Experience in environmental litigation and remedial project management.
- Experience in project acquisition and financing, due diligence, and renewable energy project siting.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
