Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role is essential for the successful bidding and execution of construction projects, both commercial and residential.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, and equipment required for projects.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and constraints.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards during the estimating process.
- Maintain and update a database of historical costs and estimation data.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and bid submissions.
- Work closely with general contractors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and project timelines.
Qualifications- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Familiarity with cost estimation software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
