Recently, we have expanded our offerings to include renewable energy solutions, such as geothermal systems for heating and cooling various properties.

Position Overview

At our company, we are looking for an Estimator who will be responsible for preparing precise cost estimates for our construction projects. This role ensures that every element is considered to provide competitive pricing and secure profitable contracts. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in heavy civil construction and a deep understanding of project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment for various construction projects including heavy civil, concrete, and utility work.
Analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure value and quality.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project details and requirements.
Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
Monitor project costs and assist in the identification of cost-saving opportunities during the bidding process.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or it's equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, specifically in heavy civil and underground projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
HCSS knowledge a plus.
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
