Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing bids, and ensuring accurate forecasting for construction projects. This role plays a crucial part in the planning and budgeting phases of projects, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and scope.
Prepare and submit accurate and competitive bids to clients.
Gather and analyze data on labor, materials, and time requirements for project completion.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
Review and negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors as necessary.
Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to management on budget status.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably in heavy civil construction.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, costs, and regulations, particularly in concrete and asphalt.
Proficient in estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
