Position Overview
The Facilities/Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. The role involves managing staff, budgets, and vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the facility
- Manage preventive maintenance programs for all facility systems
- Develop and manage budgets for facility operations and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and repair services
- Lead and supervise maintenance staff and contractors
- Implement energy management initiatives to reduce costs
- Develop and enforce facility policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding facility status and projects
- Solve problems related to facility operations and maintenance issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in facility operations and maintenance management
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experience with budgeting and financial management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to solve problems and manage conflict effectively
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards
- Proficient in project management and vendor management
- Experience in energy management and sustainability practices
