Position Overview
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance department for two sites to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment and facilities. This role requires strategic planning, leadership, and a strong knowledge of maintenance practices within the food manufacturing industry, particularly in meat processing.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing training and support to staff.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations within the maintenance operations.
Oversee the maintenance budget and manage cost-effective practices.
Coordinate with production managers to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to operations.
Implement preventive maintenance programs and conduct regular inspections of equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies or equipment to enhance maintenance efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in food manufacturing or meat processing.
Strong knowledge of PLC maintenance and troubleshooting.
Proven managerial skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
Experience with regulatory compliance in food manufacturing and safety standards.
