Maintenance Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance practices. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and functional environment for all staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Complete repairs on appliances and general facility equipment
Manage locks and keys for facility security
Assist with basic carpentry tasks and building repairs
Execute janitorial tasks as needed to maintain cleanliness
Paint and perform drywall repairs as required
Support facilities maintenance initiatives and life sciences operations
Oversee grounds maintenance and snow removal tasks
Utilize Building Engines software for maintenance tracking and reporting

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Experience in appliance repair and basic carpentry
Ability to manage locks and keys effectively
Familiarity with janitorial practices and painting techniques
Understanding of facilities maintenance processes
Experience in life sciences environment is a plus
Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment and perform snow removal tasks
Proficient in using maintenance management software, such as Building Engines
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
