Position Overview:
The Manager, Integrated Work Systems (IWS) is responsible for leading lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. This role will develop and implement IWS strategies, coach teams, and track performance metrics to enhance operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of IWS principles and practices at site and division levels.
- Develop IWS plans, including training, master plans, and roadmaps.
- Oversee IWS pillars (safety, quality, delivery, cost, employee engagement) and set review timelines.
- Coach and motivate teams to adopt a zero-loss mindset through lean practices.
- Facilitate daily meetings to enhance communication and team dynamics.
- Track KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and identify areas for improvement.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing/operations with a focus on lean practices; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Project management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift materials in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working in settings with noise, heat, and varying temperatures.
