Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Radiation Effects Engineer to lead our efforts in evaluating and mitigating the impacts of radiation on electronic systems within defense applications. The successful candidate will drive research and development initiatives, ensuring our technologies meet the highest standards of reliability and performance in radiation environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead radiation testing and analysis to assess the effects on electronic components and systems.
  • Develop and implement research and development strategies focused on radiation effects mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate radiation hardening techniques into product designs.
  • Perform failure analysis and provide recommendations for design improvements based on test results.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders and management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field. Masters preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in radiation effects analysis and testing for electronics or electronic components.
  • Strong experience working in a research and development environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
