Production Supervisor
Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production process in a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The supervisor will lead a team of production workers, coordinate production schedules, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Lead and motivate production teams to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to meet targets and improve efficiency.
- Implement and maintain HACCP principles and ensure proper documentation is followed.
- Conduct training and development programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to troubleshoot production issues and ensure equipment is functioning optimally.
- Analyze production data and report on performance metrics to management.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
