Public Finance Attorney

We have represented hundreds of clients over the last 50+ years including state and local governments, non-profits and financial institutions. We are a leader in developing state law and have been a part of many bond validation cases.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Public Finance Attorney to provide legal counsel and support in public finance transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial law, public policy, and the intricacies of working with local and state governments as well as non-profit organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on public finance transactions, including bond issuances and related activities.
Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including bond validation opinions and federal securities disclosures.
Collaborate with clients, including state and local government officials, financial institutions, and non-profit organizations, to structure financing solutions.
Stay abreast of changes in state and federal laws affecting public finance and provide guidance on compliance matters.
Conduct legal research and analysis related to public finance and provide recommendations based on findings.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Barred in FL
Experience in public finance law or a related field.
Strong knowledge of financial law, public policy, and governmental processes at the local and state level.
Experience working with non-profits and financial institutions is preferred.
Familiarity with SEC regulations and federal securities law is an advantage.
