Heavy civil construction company that specialize in building bridges (highways and railroad), deep foundations, movable bridges, concrete and steel constructions, electrical, mechanical, and painting.

We are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our team and lead our estimation efforts. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for public and private works projects. You will be responsible for working with the other departments to develop and prepare estimates, and for ensuring the accuracy of our estimates. You should have an in-depth knowledge of construction estimating and a strong understanding of the construction process.

What You Will Be Doing

To make sure we are a responsive bidder, you will be in charge of creating precise and timely bids and estimates for both commercial and public sector works projects ranging in value from $50 to $100 million.

What You Need for this Position

- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, business administration, or a similar field such as construction management.
- 8+ years of expertise in estimation
- Experience in project management is a bonus.
- Expert computer skills Estimating software, such as HCSS HeavyBid or comparable; Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); AGTEK Take-off; and Primavera Scheduling software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Advanced knowledge of agency (U)DBE requirements. Comprehensive understanding of civil construction industry practices and standards. Advanced knowledge of construction principles and equipment capabilities.
- Must be able to freely enter all areas of a construction site in a variety of conditions and climates
