Senior Land Surveyor
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Surveyor to lead our surveying projects and ensure accurate and efficient land measurements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in land surveying and possess strong technical skills to manage complex projects. This position will be based out of our Rockville office and offers a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage surveying projects from start to finish
- Utilize survey equipment to gather accurate data
- Perform boundary surveying, topographic surveying, and construction surveying
- Conduct geospatial analysis and utilize GIS tools as necessary
- Prepare legal descriptions and documentation for property boundaries
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure project success
- Supervise and mentor junior surveyors and field staff
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards
- Maintain detailed records and maps of survey data
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering preferred not required
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred not required
- 3+ years of experience in land surveying
- Proficiency in using survey equipment, MicroStation/CAD software
- Strong understanding of geospatial analysis and mapping technology
- Experience with GPS and data collection methods
- Knowledge of boundary surveying and legal descriptions
- Excellent project management and communication skills

- Competitive Compensation $75,000-90,000
