Sr. Commercial Litigation Attorney

We are a boutique litigation firm in Los Angeles that focuses on commercial and business litigation, insured-side insurance recovery, catastrophic injury and mass tort defense, and employment defense. 

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Litigation Attorney specializing in complex cases to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in insurance coverage disputes, and will be responsible for representing clients in various legal proceedings while ensuring the highest standards of service and advocacy. We primarily do defense work but are growing our plaintiff department as well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in court and during legal negotiations
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies
  • Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations
  • Manage all aspects of litigation from inception to trial
  • Collaborate with support staff and other attorneys to prepare for hearings and trials
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Negotiate settlements and advise clients on settlement options

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active state bar membership
  • 5+ years of experience as a litigation attorney
  • Proven experience with complex commercial cases, particularly in insurance coverage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
