VP of Construction - Healthcare

Position Overview
The Vice President of Construction - Healthcare is responsible for leading and overseeing all construction activities related to healthcare projects. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and budgetary constraints. The VP will play a key role in business development and fostering relationships with stakeholders to drive the success and profitability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion in the healthcare sector
Develop and implement strategic plans for construction projects to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Lead a team of construction managers and staff, providing guidance and support in project execution
Monitor project progress, conducting regular reviews and adjustments as necessary to meet goals
Ensure adherence to safety standards and OSHA compliance throughout all construction activities
Prepare and manage project budgets, financial reporting, and profitability analysis
Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential challenges in project execution
Drive process improvements and software implementations to enhance operational efficiency
Foster a positive work environment and conduct employee reviews to support team development

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 20 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 10 years in a leadership role
Proven experience in managing healthcare construction projects and understanding of healthcare regulations
Strong business development skills with a track record of increasing profitability
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Sage, and Viewpoint
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial reporting
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Certifications in OSHA safety training and quality management are a plus
