Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join my clients legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in various legal matters, ensuring efficient case management and providing support during the litigation process. This role is essential in maintaining the organization and accuracy of legal documentation, facilitating communication with clients, and contributing to the overall success of our legal services.

Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings
Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes
Manage case files and ensure all documents are organized and up-to-date
Assist with eDiscovery processes, including the use of Relativity and Disco
Prepare trial materials and exhibits using TrialPad
Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, and client meetings
Maintain accurate legal timekeeping and billing records
Stay updated with changes in court rules and civil procedure rules
Facilitate communication between clients and attorneys, ensuring timely responses to inquiries

Qualifications

Paralegal Certificate or equivalent certification
Proven experience as a Paralegal in a legal setting
Knowledge of civil litigation processes and court rules
Familiarity with eDiscovery tools such as Relativity and Disco
Experience with case management software including Clio and Smokeball
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in legal research and document drafting
Understanding of trial preparation and mediation processes
